Wendy Johnson is the President and Founder of Touch of Grey Rescue, a senior and special needs foster-based dog rescue operating out of Brevard County, Florida. Wendy graduated from SUNY Cobleskill with an AAS in Early Childhood Development, and from SUNY Oneonta with a BS in Psychology. "Farkle Finds His Furever" Home is Wendy's first publication and is based on the true story of how her narcoleptic American bully, Farkle, came to her family. Wendy lives in NY with her husband Pete, their daughter Jenny, and their rescue dogs Farkle and Kiara. 'Farkle Finds a Furever Home' is the first book in the "Farkle and Friends" series. This series was developed to bring real-life rescue dogs and their stories to life while hoping to raise awareness about abandoned pets and encourage a larger "Adopt Don't Shop" movement. The second book "T'was the Night Before Pawmas" is scheduled to be released in the Fall of 2023. Wendy is currently writing "Tucker and The Rainbow Bridge". After many years in the video game industry, Leslie Harrington was chosen as the new illustrator of Goofus and Gallant, Highlight Magazine's 77 year old comic strip about two boys whose exploits conveniently teach children lessons about manners, friendship and being a good person. Yes, it's THAT Highlights magazine we all read in the waiting rooms at Doctor and Dentist appointments. Today, Leslie is a busy freelancer working with independent authors, educational and Christian publishers while also creating illustrations for art licensing. Leslie's studio overlooks the Snoqualmie Valley in Washington state. She shares the view with her husband Mike and two rescue cats Franklin and Madison.
