This monographic study has been carried out within the framework of priority directions of development and interrelation of fashion design as a sphere of art, in its connection with industry and economy: priority directions of costume design in the aspect of fashion design; conceptual mechanisms of modern fashion industry; historical stages of genesis of fashion design and their role as a source of motives in designing modern forms of costume. The monograph is the first scientific research in the field of clothes design in which the history of "Design culture" of Uzbekistan, in the aspect of modeling from antiquity to the XXI century, including the theoretical postulates of the sphere of design modeling of modern costume, is traced. Problematic issues in the design and production, products in the "middle market" and "premium" segment have been analyzed. In conclusion, a roadmap indicating the ways of bringing the Uzbek fashion industry to a new level has been formed.
