* Cindy Quinlan is an entrepreneurship educator, work-based learning coordinator, and former fashion marketing & merchandising teacher for Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) in Georgia. During her time with GCPS, Quinlan founded the Brookwood Integrated Entrepreneurship Program, in which students launch a real business while simultaneously earning their core Language Arts course credit. The program's success has been showcased in multiple outlets including Education Talk Radio, American School Board Journal, and ACTE's Techniques magazine. * Outside the classroom, Quinlan served as a lead instructor for the nonprofit organization Real LEDGE, whose mission is to advance and promote economic development opportunities through entrepreneurship education. She has led numerous entrepreneurship education trainings, including two international workshops in Honduras and Bulgaria. Additionally, she has served as a consultant for educators across the United States as well as China, Costa Rica, Greece, Finland, and Norway. For her work, Quinlan is a member of the University of Georgia's 2019 40 Under 40 class. She has also received honors such as University of Georgia College of Education Outstanding Alumni, Freedoms Foundation Leavey Award, and ACTE National Teacher of the Year. * Contributing author Dr. Katherine A. Shaw received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences (Merchandising) from Eastern Illinois University. She earned her PhD in Retail Merchandising and Product Development from Florida State University. Katherine has served on multiple national and state boards, including serving as president of the Illinois Association of Family and Consumer Sciences and the National Executive Board of Kappa Omicron Nu Honors Society. As an Associate Professor in the Department of Art & Design at Eastern Illinois University, she teaches courses in fashion sustainability, patterning, fashion e-tailing, merchandising, visual merchandising, textiles, research methods, and statistics. She has also led students on study abroad to the University of the Arts in Florence, Italy. * In addition to her years of work in academia, she also has extensive experience in retail and business settings. Her love for retail and fashion began at a very young age. She enjoys consulting and research work on today's ever-changing fashion empire. Her research interests include fashion sustainability, retail place attachment, and Black Friday shopping. * Mary G. Wolfe has worked in all segments of the fashion industry, from textiles research to retail sales. She designed for a national sportswear firm before opening her own apparel business. Mary gained recognition as the personal fashion designer for the wife of a US vice president. As a consultant to several garment manufacturers, she has assisted with collection designs and pattern specifications. * Mary received the Outstanding Faculty Member Award for her teaching of fashion business courses at the University of Delaware. She has been a New Jersey Woman of the Year and has been listed in Outstanding Young Women of America and the National Dean's List. Mary is also the author of Fashion and a book on pattern making. She received her bachelor's degree in Textiles and Clothing from Iowa State University and her master's degree in general business (MBA) from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
