John D'Acquisto was named National League Rookie Pitcher of the Year in 1974. John pitched in the major leagues for ten seasons, mostly for the San Francisco Giants and San Diego Padres. Named as one of the fastest pitchers ever, by Bill James, his fastball was recorded at 102.4 MPH. Currently, John works as a Replay Tech and Field Timing Coordinator for Major League Baseball's FTC and Replay Tech programs for MLB.com and MLB Network near his home in Phoenix, Arizona. Dave Jordan is the founder of Instream Sports, the first athlete-author website, home to the highly acclaimed first-person essays from many Hall of Fame and popular athletes. David's work has been praised by writers at NBC Sports, ESPN, Grantland, Sports Illustrated, Deadspin and SB Nation.
