Autorenporträt
Natalie Hodgson was born in Coventry in 1911. She was educated at Sherbourne and the Sorbonne in Paris. The early years of her marriage were disrupted by the Second World War when her husband, Bengy, was serving overseas from 1942-1946. During this time she became involved in the Political Warfare Executive at Bedford, Naval Intelligence in Oxford and the Foreign Office in London. After the war they moved to Shropshire and raised three children. She took a vigorous part in district and county level politics (always standing as an Independent) and on the Regional Health Authority. Once her children had grown up, Natalie went back to full time employment. She is an accomplished glider pilot and expert beekeeper. Sadly widowed in 1989 after 51 years of marriage, she started one of the only pick your own lavender farms in the country.
