THOMAS L. McHANEY is the Kenneth M. England Professor of Southern Literature emeritus at Georgia State University. McHaney is the author or editor of sixteen volumes concerned with the work of William Faulkner and one of the four general co-editors of the twenty-five-volume William Faulkner Manuscripts.
