Fish culture is considered as one of the most promising sources of animal protein for the future. So, there is need to increase fish production from inland waters in order to alleviate the problems of malnutrition and poverty. Fish is an important source of high quality proteins. Fish flesh contains all essential amino acids such as lysine and this serve as an efficient supplement to low protein, high carbohydrate diets of developing nations in Asia.Supplemental feeds made from locally available materials can enhance fish production.Rice polish and corn gluten are the two commonly used diets in fish farming. Corn gluten meal is potentially an inexpensive ingredient and importantsource of protein, energy and minerals also. Feeds containing corn gluten meal are known to enhance growth in fish.
