The radiating elements of the wireless antennas are excited by some feedlines. The selection of the feedline depends on the efficiency in transfer of power between the radiating structure and feed structure. The minimization of the undesired radiation and its effect on the radiation pattern is one of the important factor for the evaluation of the feed line. There are several numbers of feeding techniques developed so far. Prominent among these are coaxial feed, microstrip line feed, aperture couple feed, proximity coupled feed, coplanar waveguide feed etc. The book entitled "Feeding Techniques of Microstrip Patch Antenna" provides an analysis of three different feeding techniques with suitable antenna design structures.
