If you had the opportunity to read "Loving Life, A Trekkers Journal," then you know that hiking after my first wife died from cancer became my passion. Yes, it has kept me young and somewhat in shape, but it has also been fun. In the chapters that follow, "Feel the Rain, Hiking into Retirement" I hope you can feel the joy, excitement and yes, love I have for being on the trail. Far too many of my friends simply don't want to retire because, "what will I do" or they retire and simply do nothing. I have made my decision to simply, "Feel the Rain." I honestly believe if you really want to love your life, then you must first really, live your life. You don't have to hike on every continent like I have, a small walk into the woods with a friend is enough to get you hooked. "Feel the Rain, Hiking into Retirement" will hopefully give you an idea of how much fun you can have hiking with a group, or just a friend. The solitude of being one with nature really clears your mind and all while exercising. Hiking doesn't mean you have to run or climb or hit something straight, it simply means you go at your own speed and your own distance. As with my last book, all proceeds from the sale of "Feel the Rain, Hiking into Retirement" will go into my first wife's foundation, The DeeDee Lobley Foundation, for scholarships to college and yes trade schools for high school seniors. I hope you enjoy the book. God Bless and Feel the Rain, Jim
