Crump (Ph.D., University of Aberdeen) is Professor of Religion at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is an ordained minister in the Christian Reformed Church of North America and served as a pastor at Mountain Springs Community Church in Salt Lake City, Utah, from 1988-1997. His other books include Jesus the Intercessor: Prayer and Christology in Luke Acts (Baker Books, 1999) and Knocking on Heaven's Door: A New Testament Theology of Petitionary Prayer.
