An elementary classroom teacher in Oldham county, Kentucky, Linda Allen conducts workshops across the state on developing multiage classrooms, creating inquiry-based science lessons, and designing performance-based assessment activities. E. Todd Brown has been an elementary classroom teacher for twenty-six years and is a nominee for the Presidential Award in Teaching Mathematics in the state of Kentucky. A former elementary school teacher, Karen Karp is an associate professor in the department of early and middle childhood education at the University of Louisville, where she teaches graduate courses in mathematics education. Candy Allen has over fourteen years of teaching experience and currently teaches a transition group of third and fourth graders.
