Femicide -or feminicide- is the most extreme result of this manifestation, since it appears as the final epilogue of a violent situation, in which the victim, for not submitting to the designs of the man who seeks this result, finds death as a counterpart. For a homicide to be considered femicide, there must be an additional factor, which is the presence of one or more situations of gender violence against the female victim. This is the necessary characteristic for its classification. The statistics provide hard, certain and concrete data that indicate an increase in this crime.
