The goal of this library will be to investigate more deeply the roots and development of gender inequality, the influence it has had on society and thought in different historical periods, including links with other forms of struggles. Starting with the definition, birth, and development of masculinism within different cultures and the relationship to politics and religion, continuing with the early uprising that would give rise to the feminist movement and the changes it managed to bring about in history, and concluding with the role played by a symbol, a doll that became world-renowned to such an extent that it influenced the culture and thinking of multiple generations, both positively and negatively, providing little girls with a model diverted from motherhood and dependence on men but diseducative and in turn objectifying through purely physical canons of beauty: Barbie. Although this image has changed considerably, Greta Gerwing's film, released in theaters worldwide, showed how this transformation has taken place, from the stereotypes she represented to the values she currently upholds.
