This book is a glimpse of critical analysis on gender, violence and identity crisis of African American and Indian women writers' writings. The respective protagonists in the novels suffered, struggled in an unevolved society to redefine themselves to be evolved in any circumstances. It throws a light upon, the authors, who dauntingly excel in portraying their protagonists by bringing them out of extreme tough situations. Certainly, a shift in values of women acknowledging themselves as the co-equals of men can be perceived by the end of each novel. These writers voice out through their protagonists by running their brains with a flow as if, the barrels of ink filling their pens. Inspite of all the articulations of the writers, through few of the characters in the novels, it appears as if, gender bias, identity and violence against women still remains a myth.
