Jane Mansbridge es profesora emérita de la Escuela de Gobierno Kennedy de la Universidad de Harvard. Fue Presidenta de la Asociación de Ciencia Política de los Estados Unidos. Su trabajo abarca más de un centenar de libros y artículos sobre democracia, feminismo y movimientos sociales. En 2018, recibió el Premio Johan Skytte, considerado el 'Nobel de la Ciencia Política', por 'haber dado forma a nuestra comprensión de la democracia en sus formas directas y representativas, con agudeza, compromiso profundo y teoría feminista'. Editorial Gedisa ha publicado Democracia. Amistad y pugna. Felipe Rey Salamanca es profesor de derecho público en la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Colombia. Se doctoró en el grupo de investigación Legal and Political Philosophy de la Universidad Pompeu Fabra y fue investigador visitante en el Center for Human Values de la Universidad de Princeton. En 2021 editó y tradujo la recopilación de ensayos de Jane Mansbridge Democracia. Amistad y pugna, publicada por Gedisa. También es autor de El sistema representativo (Gedisa, 2023).
