This work deals with feminist issues found in the novels "The Life and Loves of a She Devil" and "Remember Me" written by Fay Weldon. This work deals with feminist issues found in the novels "The Life and Loves of a She Devil" and "Remember Me" written by Fay Weldon. It compares these issues and analyzes them according to the main characters of both novels. For that purpose, the first part of the thesis introduces the brief history of feminism, feminist waves and it mainly focuses on British feminism since Great Britain is setting of the work. The second part of the work analyzes both books. It concentrates on depiction of the main figures of the novels, summarizes the plots, depicts the major themes of the novels and finally describes the endless problem between men and women. The very last topic points out the social changes since the novels analyzed were written. It mainly describes the progresses and challenges for women throughout 1970s, 1980s until 21st century, and it maintains the contrast with the tradidional conception of women's society.

Kristýna Brabcová was born in Ústí nad Orlicí, Czech Republic. She obtained a BA degree at the University of Pardubice, Specialization in Pedagogy - English language. Currently she works as a recruiter and she studies MA degree at the Masaryk University in Brno - Teaching English to Primary and Language schools.
