Forty eight pages of far-out feisty females from other worlds! Created by masters of the bizarre, Steve Carter and Antoinette Rydyr (also known as SCAR) Femonsters volume 14 contains a bevy of bizarre beauties and bountiful beasts. Femonsters is a unique pin-up book which displays and portrays fascinating and fanciful hybrids of human females merged with animal, alien and mythological creatures. Femonsters has proven to be a popular series among connoisseurs of surrealism who appreciate non-traditional depictions of cheesecake, merging eroticism with imagined animal anatomy. In 2011 Femonsters was the Winner of The Golden Stapler Award for Best Collaborative Zine. It was presented by Australia's National Awards for Zine Excellence at the National Young Writers' Festival in Newcastle, NSW, Australia. Within these pages you will not see little cupcake girls smiling coyly as they pose provocatively. Instead you will be assailed by vulgar vixens. Massacred by alluring but nightmarish monster women. And be eviscerated by sabre-toothed fem-beasts. Femonsters not only breaks the traditional depiction of the pin-up girl, it takes a sledgehammer and smashes it to smithereens! Femonsters 14 presents more Hell's belles and horrific harpies than you can poke a chainsaw at! So buckle your seat belts and feast your eyes upon a fantastic bounty of freakish fem fatales and fearsome furies!
Autorenporträt
Steve Carter created "Phantastique" in 1985. It was Australia's first newsstand available horror comic and the subject of much media controversy. After Phantastique's short life, Steve's next newsstand comic book was the horror and science-fiction comicbook "Charnel House". Steve teamed up with Antoinette Rydyr in the early 1990s. Their art and writing incorporates strong elements of Sci Fi and horror fantasy to surrealism and weird satire. As the creative team known as S.C.A.R. they create in a variety of mediums - prose fiction, illustration, comic books, screenplays and even music. Steve is also the driving force behind experimental electronica bands FistFunk Futurists and TeknoSadisT. A collaboration with Ethan Somerville saw the creation of their steampunk western novel, "Weird Wild West" parts one and two published in 2018 by Bizarro Pulp Press.
