Autorenporträt
D. René Myles was born in the Yukon in 1953. This story was first penciled while she was working as the camp cook in a Yukon gold mine back in 1982. The impetus for the book was an actual 'granddaddy of a nest' high in an old tree close to the placer mine. This is René's second children's book - the first publication was `Louie the Lion and Me'.
