In the present research, 50 species of ferns and fern allies under 17 families were recorded. Polypodiaceae and Dryopteridaceae are the largest family, which includes 7 species each. In this study, Five rare ferns were reported from the study area. These are Loxogramme cuspidata, Adiantum caudatum, Adiantum raddianum, Vittaria himalayensis and Diacalpe aspidioides. One endangered fern Cyathea spinulosa was also reported from the study area. Adiantum raddianum C. Presl. is reported for the first time from this area (Central Nepal).

Dr. Sabina Singh (Shrestha) has obtained her Ph.D degree in Botany in 2014. Since then she has been doing different research in plant science and she has been teaching botany since 1992. She has published two dozens of research papers in different national and international journals.She has also supervised a dozen of Msc thesis.
