George N. Giannaris is an author, electrical engineer, chef, restaurateur, and owner of his family's restaurant, the Hellenic Snack Bar & Restaurant, which in 2016, celebrated its fortieth anniversary. The success of his first book Ferry Tales inspired him to continue writing about the comical stories and introspections surrounding the landmark eatery and its home base, nestled amongst America's fastest growing boutique wine region, the North Fork of Long Island.
