Cotton (Gossypium spp.) is the most extensively cultivated commercial crop and the most important of all fiber crops of the world, which is playing key role in economic and developmental affaires of the world. India is one of major cotton growing countries of the world. India ranks first in area under cotton and seventh in production in major cotton growing countries of the world. The balanced use of fertilizer plays important role in higher crop yield programme. It can be done through mixed or compound fertilizers for applying two or more major nutrients normally required by the plant, in one application. In recent years, the complex fertilizers are available at comparatively lower rates and contain more than one nutrient so it is cheaper than the fertilizers containing one nutrient. Therefore, it is beneficial to use complex fertilizers for crop production.
