John Contratti was an elementary school teacher for thirty-two years. He's the author of two children's books, Cooking with Mr. C. and Mr. C. Takes Manhattan, and the cookbook, J. C. In The Kitchen. He has appeared on the television dramas The Americans, Royal Pains, and the Hallmark Channel cooking program, Mad Hungry with Lucinda Scala Quinn, which was produced by Martha Stewart. He is currently the host of the successful podcast, Up Next with John Contratti. He is a supporter of the organizations Keen Company and Broadway Cares. Contratti resides in New York, New York.
