Nigel Redman is a lifelong birder and an experienced tour leader and bird guide. Over more than four decades he has led around 150 bird tours, and visited more than 90 countries on all seven continents. Nigel has field experience of around half of the bird species of the world. In between these extensive travels, he worked for 20 years as a leading publisher of bird books, latterly for Bloomsbury Publishing in the UK. He is also the author of numerous articles and three books, including an acclaimed Helm field guide, Birds of the Horn of Africa, and was co-author of Where to Watch Birds in Britain. Nigel has an insatiable appetite for travelling and birds, and is never happier than when he is helping others to see them.
