The field works have a fundamental importance in the learning of Geology and Geography. It is in the field that the student will be able to receive and apprehend the several aspects that involve its study, both natural and social. The field activities have represented a link between theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge. With the field work as a starting point, there is the articulation between the real universe and the concepts, allowing the teacher and the students to gather the object investigated and the knowledge acquired in the classroom. This work enhances the fieldwork developed in geography courses and seeks to classify them according to some relevant parameters in the process of teaching and learning. The research describes the different field work developed in the discipline of Introductory Geology and may become a reference for the various disciplines that carry out field activities besides being a tool of analysis of teachers' pedagogical practices.
