Autorenporträt
Raymond Clarke (B.Sc. McGill University; M.F.S., M.Phil., Ph.D. Yale University) is a professor emeritus at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York. During his career he taught many different courses primarily involving evolution, ecology and marine biology. He also engaged in research in the ecology of coral reef fishes, working primarily in the U.S. Virgin Islands and Belize. While he has a score of publications in scientific journals and is an accomplished technical writer, his skill as a creative writer is more recent. He is a long-time member of a memoirs group in Truro, Massachusetts, where he has honed a more expansive, compelling and engaging writing style.
