Filip Mentel (Born 2 February 1990) is a Slovak footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Clyde, on loan from Dundee United. Formerly of Manchester City, his father, Miroslav Mentel was also a professional footballer. Mentel signed for Dundee United in July 2010, joining fellow Slovakian goalkeeper Du an Perni at the SPL club. He will spend the 2011 12 season on loan at Clyde, in the Scottish Third Division.
