The objective of this book is: "To analyze and evaluate the financial policies of the International Monetary Fund with respect to Guatemala, in terms of success or not, in the field of International Trade", during the period 1999-2009, and to answer the question: Do the financial policies proposed by international organizations contribute to the economic and financial stabilization of Guatemala and the development of international trade? The content is divided into six parts; the first, explains the origin of the IMF, second, explains the functions of the International Monetary Fund and its structure; third, analyzes the international commerce of Guatemala, fourth, shows the referential framework on the financial policies that the Monetary Fund uses to make the evaluation program of the financial system of the member countries, fifth, an analysis and evaluation of the qualitative policies of the International Monetary Fund when applying the evaluation program of the financial system in Guatemala is made, in fifth place, an analysis and evaluation of the qualitative policies of the International Monetary Fund is made when applying the evaluation program of the financial system in Guatemala.
