One of the most important decisions the founders of these technology start-ups have to make is the financial one. With new emerged sources of funding, this decision gets even more complex and old guidelines are not very helpful anymore. The new introduced financial framework, which is based on the financial decisions of four case companies will assist entrepreneurs when it comes to the question where capital can be found and which source of funding is the most suitable one for his or her venture.

I am the Chief Operating Officer and founder of MindMate (Techstars'16), which is the #1 Health App in 17 countries with its platform for people affected by Cognitive Decline. I am responsible for business and product strategy and overseeing and optimizing the platform's data collection and monetization capabilities. --- I'm a strong believer that "doing good" and "making money" should not be mutually exclusive. In fact, I see it as the Pareto optimality. --- Prior to founding MindMate, my experiences include serving as a program manager at Vienna University of Economics and Business and holding a key role responsible for high impact projects at Mercedes-Benz. --- I hold an MSc. with distinction in Finance from the University of Glasgow, and a BSc. in Business & Economics from the Vienna University of Economics and Business, where I finished in the Top 0.5% of my class. I was recently named Young Alumnus of the Year 2017 by The University of Glasgow, which aims to recognize and celebrate the achievements of alumni who have graduated within the last 15 years and made a major contribution to the community, arts, sciences or business. --- On my spare time, I cannot get myself to stop playing football and reading up on political literature and biographies, amongst other things.
