Jacqueline, more than ever, wanted to make her dreams a reality. The couple fly to France for what Patrick understands to be for an extended vacation. But Jacqueline begins work on her plans immediately. With the miscommunication of their true feelings, Patrick soon realizes that his wife is serious about starting a business, while Jacqueline is hurt and confused by his lack of participation. Jacqueline is anxious to open her studio, hoping that the change will also rekindle their marriage. Patrick believes there is nothing wrong with their marriage and tells her he will return giving her more time. He soon realizes that she is serious, causing more friction between them. They attempt to continue with Patrick flying to France every few weeks to visit, but the long separations and distance adds distrust and misunderstandings to their troubles. As they try to cope hurt feelings become the norm adding new challenges in their marriage. Jacqueline's business begins to thrive. Their priorities change as her confidence grows in her business. She makes new friendships with four women she never had before. Then Jacqueline meets Hugo, a widower. He is an Art Professor opening a school of the arts for children. Jacqueline and Hugo become good friends, but eventually he wants to take that relationship to the next level. She is committed to her relationship with her husband. Will she give up her friends and new life when Patrick tells her that it is time to come home? Jacqueline will need to decide.

Ms. Lucka and her husband, Tom, live in Southern California and have been married for over 40 years. They have two adult children and six grandchildren. Ms. Lucka has a thirty-year legal career and holds an Associate of Science degree in corporate paralegal studies. She also studied Interior Design.After retiring, Ms. Lucka's hobbies consisted of playing golf and lunch with the girls. She also volunteered for various meaningful causes in the Coachella Valley, including fundraisers for medical diseases, golfing events, music and film festivals, and art shows. Active in her community, she was involved with Neighborhood Watch, serving on special committees and volunteering in the two thousand presidential election and other local elections for the County of Riverside.Ms. Lucka's father served in the military. As a child, she and her family lived abroad without a television. She spent time playing outside, reading, writing, listening to music and singing, or playing an instrument to amuse herself. Imagination and creativity played a big part in her free time.
