With the help of former child soldier Michael of the SPLA in Southern Sudan, I have been given an up to date and accurate picture of how the life of a former child soldier can develop without the help of international organisations or reintegration programs.

Bernice Glimberg was born in Sweden 1988 and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. Bernice studied Human Rights at Lunds University in Sweden and was eager to move back to Kenya after obtaining her degree. Her love for Africa and human development is highly reflected in her work, both as a writer and photographer.
