Finite element analysis (FEA) of resistance spot welding (RSW) process of light weight alloys is described in three chapters. First chapter is about the introduction of RSW fundamentals including adjustable RSW parameters, heat input, equipment, and miscellaneous experimental issues in RSW, while second chapter is about introduction of light weight alloys. This chapter emphasizes on Magnesium and Aluminum alloys. The last and the main chapter is about FEA of RSW, talking about theoretical Equations, electrical-thermal-mechanical contact strategies, FEA algorithms, material properties,…mehr

Produktbeschreibung
Finite element analysis (FEA) of resistance spot welding (RSW) process of light weight alloys is described in three chapters. First chapter is about the introduction of RSW fundamentals including adjustable RSW parameters, heat input, equipment, and miscellaneous experimental issues in RSW, while second chapter is about introduction of light weight alloys. This chapter emphasizes on Magnesium and Aluminum alloys. The last and the main chapter is about FEA of RSW, talking about theoretical Equations, electrical-thermal-mechanical contact strategies, FEA algorithms, material properties, precision of prediction, important case studies in FEA of RSW, and recent issues in modeling RSW process, in relevance to light weight alloys. The book could be appropriate for researchers in two aspects. Firstly it introduces and discusses about light weight alloys as these alloys are currently applicable in different industries and studies. Secondly, it is a suitable brief collection of FEA issuesand case studies for whom has intended to obtain more knowledge about different aspects of RSW modelling.
