Produktbeschreibung
When Natalie Denise Henley was just six years old, she learned the first part of the Lord's Prayer. "Our Father, who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven" (Luke 11:2 AMP). The prayer's full meaning stirred questions in her mind about God's will and Henley's place within it. She continued to contemplate these words for the next thirty years of her life. First Comes Love is a deeply personal autobiography of one woman's remarkable journey to spiritual and physical restoration. Many Christians-and non-Christians-operate from a place of insecurity, and this heartfelt book chronicles her brutally honest self-assessment and path toward healing. With chapters titled "Deep Calleth unto Deep," "Delighted Servant in Wait," and "Perfected for Purpose," these pages tackle difficult themes including singlehood, career goals, ministry, purpose, and interpersonal relationships. In the vein of Maya Angelou's I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, this exceptional book incorporates poetry, while its unique structure combines scripture with candid stories to offer a personal approach and an outstretched hand to anyone seeking help out of self-doubt and unbelief.
