This book is on first language interference in learning English plosive and fricative sounds and pronouncing English consonant clusters among Hausa learners of English language. It specifically seeks to identify the English fricative and plosive sounds that pose problem to Hausa learners of English Language. It also attempts to find out why some Hausa speakers face problem when pronouncing English consonant clusters. The book also provides comprehensive list of Hausa consonant and vowel sounds to vindicate the status of Hausa language on the world stage. the main target of this book are the speakers of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) and speakers of English as a Second Language (ESL). In addition, the book discusses why some consonant sounds are not found in some varieties of Hausa language in Nigeria especially the sound /P/.
