Joseph Seymour is a Philadelphia native whose interest in his city's history began at an early age. A member of the First Troop Philadelphia City Cavalry, he is the author of various articles on Colonial Philadelphia. He holds a degree in history from Temple University and works in Washington, D.C., as a historian for the United States Army.
