Make learning your first words in French fun with the great games and activity sheets in this useful resource book. The fun activity sheets for practising French involve reading some French words as you colour pictures, matching French words to pictures by drawing a line and copying or writing just a few words per page. Ideal for 3 - 7 year olds. Games are a great way to engage children so they have fun whilst they are learning in a meaningful context. And activity sheets help introduce the written words in a fun way. All the pages in this book may be photocopied for class or home use. The games are in colour and the activity sheets are in black and white. The author of this book is a qualified teacher with 20 years experience in teaching languages to children. Joanne Leyland specialises in writing books teaching foreign languages to children in a fun and engaging way. Her varied range includes activity books, holiday phrase books with challenges, special Christmas editions, word search editions, first 100 words colouring book editions, photocopiable games and stories. Joanne studied languages at University and she lived abroad for almost 2 years in the 1990s. Before she became a teacher she worked in exporting where she enjoyed speaking her foreign languages on a daily basis. She has now been teaching languages to 3 to 11 year olds for almost 20 years. The two things she loves most about teaching is seeing her pupils enjoy her lessons and using her creativity to help them learn. When she isn't teaching or writing another book, she's probably speaking French, Spanish, German or Italian with her friends, trying out a new recipe, swimming or gardening. She's still a lot to learn about growing vegetables, but she's giving it a go, and believes it's always good to learn something new.
