Carliss Maddox is a Maryland-based author and poet. She is the author of three children's books and one novel. Her stories are inspired by personal experiences as an educator and life in general. Her writings are known for being humorous and captivating leaving unwary readers in suspense. She is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. She is an avid reader, visual writer, lover of the fine arts, and anything remotely creative. She holds an M.A. degree in Education. Carliss is an early childhood teacher and lives in Maryland.
