Ethiopia is endowed with several water bodies that contain a high diversity of aquatic fauna. In addition, the book contains identification keys for each species identified during the study period. The work was done in collaboration with Cornell University (USA). Therefore, this book will give more information for those who wants to study the diversity, relative abundance and biology of fish in any where and especially for African countries.

I have born in 1982 at Debra Elias from my father Merigeta Melak Tadesse and my mother Shigult Mekonnen. My elementary and high school was there. My first and second degrees were owned from AAU in Biology and fisheries and aquatic science respectively. Now I am working at Bahir Dar University. I am interested in studying any aspect of fish.
