The main objective of aquaculture is to reach the aquaculture product to the consumer which is not possible without marketing system. It helps to give a good connection among fishermen, intermediaries and consumers. In Bangladesh, fish marketing operates under private enterprise in which rich traders play a dominant role and this system yields for the poor fishermen and farmers only a low price. Apart from price and weight, the poor fisherman suffers at the hands of monopolist suppliers of ice, nets, boats and other gears. The main problem affecting fish marketing in Bangladesh are poor transport, poor physical facilities and ignorance of the factors affecting fish quality.
