Puzzles. Our lives are puzzles wherein we either seek the pieces to complete our journey. I have embraced the search for my pieces in both my personal and professional lives. This was especially true during my 25 years as a Special Agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms working undercover investigations or solving complex arson and explosion cases. Finding the right witness, clue or evidence challenged me daily. The search for truth continued while employed for 17 years in private industry as a Fire/Explosion Analyst. And today, as an author of both true crime books and a novel, the complexity of writing is another enigma that tests my skills to put the right words in the correct places in order to complete a compelling story.
