Flexural mechanical response of textile reinforced concrete (TRC) samples are investigated using instrumented 3-point bending test systems under quasi-static and low-velocity impact loadings. Two types of TRC, namely basalt textile reinforced concrete (BTRC) and alkali-resistant glass textile reinforced concrete (GTRC) are tested. The mechanical performance of TRC composites is evaluated in terms of flexural strength, modulus, flexural ultimate strain and toughness. Samples were tested under quasi-static bending at a flexural strain rate of 3.33×10-5 s-1 at room temperature and flexural impact…mehr

Samples were tested under quasi-static bending at a flexural strain rate of 3.33×10-5 s-1 at room temperature and flexural impact at five different flexural strain rates (4, 8, 12, 16 and 18 s-1) and temperatures (-50, 0, 25, 50 and 100 C). The experimental results show that at room temperature, flexural strength increases with increasing strain rate, while the flexural modulus firstly increases and then decreases with increasing strain rate. The changes of flexural ultimate strain and toughness are in an inverse trend. At the flexural strain rate of 12 s-1, flexural strength and toughness generally decrease with increasing temperatures, but the flexural modulus and flexural ultimate strain do not vary significantl
