It finds some surprising results which are not usually understandable for slum people. For reducing flood vulnerability of slum dwellers, several options have been proposed. This book might be useful for planners and decision makers forreducing flood vulnerability in slum areas. In addition, it would be helpful for those researchers interested in the field of 'Disaster Management' concerning squatter settlements.
Autorenporträt
The author, born in 1985 in Kushtia (Bangladesh), has completed his M.S. from Geography and Environmental Studies, University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. He conducted two research works on slum dwellers and their flood vulnerability in Dhaka. Recently, his one article has been published in ¿Stamford Journal of Environment and Human Habitat¿ (2012).
