This study entitled "Diversity of floristic species in the sacred forests of Bafoussam and their ethnobotanical values" was carried out within the framework of the project "Fight against climate change and strategic management of the biological diversity of forests and sacred sites in the Bafoussam community". It took place from 10 to 18 May 2013 with a floristic inventory in the Bafoussam community which is made up of seven villages (Medzi, Diengso, Diengbou, Ngouen, Touokop, Negouo, Diengdam). The overall objective of this study was to identify the floristic species of the sacred forests in order to see how they are used by the local populations. The methodologies used were conventional taxonomy techniques based on observations, followed by meetings with local people. The results obtained indicate that thirty (30) sacred forests were visited, forty-six (46) botanical families were listed for fifty-nine (59) genera and sixty-nine (69) species. Most of these plant species are of cultural, medicinal, food and economic importance to the communities.
