Dan, christened Duncan, born and raised in Montrose, Scotland, inherited the title Laird of the MacDonald Clan upon the death of his father, Big Mac, so named for his size and stature. Frank, a Baptist minister, moves with his wife and children to Alabama as rector of the Baptist congregation in Birmingham.
