Autorenporträt
Shelly Dale worked for thirty-two years as a public health nurse and is now retired. Through her nursing experience and her own struggles in life, including childhood trauma and health issues, Shelly had the opportunity to learn about different healing resources and techniques and see what was helpful in facing difficulties and sustaining joy. After a colon cancer scare, Shelly knew she had to share her message about living in joy and flourishing. Shelly has facilitated classes for the Wellness institute in Winnipeg on topics such as "Getting Better Together" and "Total Brain Health." In addition, she has facilitated women's workshops and given presentations on the five steps discussed in this book in settings such as the Spring Convention of Toastmasters. She is also part of the Charleswood 55plus organization through which she enjoys activities such as creative writing. Shelly lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba with her husband Terry. They enjoy the company of their many backyard visitors, which include birds, rabbits, and squirrels. Dancing is among Shelly's favourite activities and has gotten her through many difficult times.
