Ripe fruits of Kumbhi became juicy and rich in different alkaloids. This plant has different medicinal properties. Leaves of both the trees could be suitable as a fodder. The structure of the tree could make them as potential species for agro-forestry system. This study look at the details of the flower and fruit growth of both the species and suggested the suitable harvesting time along with the nutritional properties.

Mr. Rahman has obtained his MS degree from Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU),Bangladesh in 2009. Since then he is working as a faculty member at Sylhet Agricultural University, Bangladesh. At present he is doing MSc on Sustainable Forest and Nature Management (SUFONAMA) at Gerog-August University, Germany and Copenhagen University,Denmark.
