Shorting the make span leads to decreasing machines idle time which results improvement in CIM productivity. Conventional methods of solving scheduling problems based on priority rules still result schedules, sometimes, with significant idle times. To optimize these, this book model the problem of a flowshop scheduling with the objective of minimizing the make span. The work proposed here deal with the Production Planning Problem, PPP of a FMS. Ajay Kumar Agarwal, received his B.Tech. and M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra(Haryana) & M.B.U, Solan(Himachal Pradesh) in 2005 and 2012 respectively, and his MBA in OB&HRM from G.J.U, Hisar(Haryana) in 2008. He has published 2 Research papers in reputed International Journals and few ones are in pipeline.
