In this study, the drying characteristics of wheat in a fluidized bed were experimentally observed with four different parameters viz. temperatures, times of drying, initial moisture contents and different gas velocities. Developed correlation for drying efficiency was found to be applicable over a wide range of parameters as the %deviation of calculated values from the experimental values is varying within +5 to -5%. For the industrial scale this can be modified slightly. However, further work is required for developing the model equations for drying and determining the optimal conditions of drying to be used in the industrial level.…mehr
