Kasey Whitelaw is a nature lover who grew up exploring the ocean, firstly by diving into a sea of books, and then as a qualified marine biologist. She moved from the rocky shores of Victoria to the pristine waters of the Shark Bay, Western Australia, to monitor and protect the world-famous Monkey Mia dolphins and endangered loggerhead sea turtles. Kasey fell in love with educating children about the natural world and today she crafts picture books that connect children to the wonders of science and nature. She loves to write outdoors on her bush property, with her resident kangaroos and bobtail lizards.
