The main goal is to optimize the total makespan of service placement of tasks requested by IoT nodes, and it is more likely to optimize the scheduling part of makespan rather than the processing part, which is the approach followed in this research. The potentials were limited in the currently followed model (Cloud-Fog Model). Therefore, we have opened a new horizon by proposing a new model (Cloud-Controller-Fog Model) that has the potential to be more optimal than the current model. To test the model and prove its optimality, we have proposed four algorithms and tested them in both architectures using simulation, and eventually proved the efficiency and optimality of our model over the existing one. This book is a vision for new horizons of data processing especially in the aspect of scheduling and load balancing.
