Folklore and National Development: Kom and Bakweri Proverbs, demonstrates that proverbs collected from two disparate cultures - Kom and Bakweri - can contribute to the process of national development especially in a country like Cameroon which is heterogeneous, multilingual and pluri-cultural, and which is yet to cultivate a sense of national identity in its citizens.
